WHAT IS A DISTRESSED PROPERTY?
A distressed property is a property in Spain that is for sale either because the owner has bought an off-plan property in Spain and is now, due to many unforseen circumstances,
unable to complete on the purchase. Many of these properties are now available at a discount with the owner willing to take a loss on their initial
depsoit of say 40% and is willing to sell at a discount of maybe 30% or 35% of the original purchase price just to get some money back or in many cases
just to ensure the property is sold.
Other examples of distressed property sales is where the current owner is struggling to keep up with the payments with their lender and is looking to sell the
property, in many cases, at a loss with a large discount just to get the property off their hands. In many cases discounts of up to 50% off original purchase
price are available.
WHAT IS A REPOSSESSED PROPERTY?
A repossessed property is a property that has been handed back or repossessed by the bank. The bank in most cases wish to off load these properties to try and recover
some if not all of the outstanding debt, and as such offer these repossessions at discounts of up to 60% the original purchase price or valuation.
